The curse…
May 27th, 2009Moving on…
February 26th, 2009When I thought 2008’s end was welcome, I didn’t think 2009 would start so differently… for the better
So it’s no secret anymore I’ve been accepted into college (Design major at FAU-USP, Brazil’s top architecture school), and this means I’m moving. Finally. With this happening, I had to stay some time away from drawing and the computer due to traveling, freshman activities and whatnot– which managed to make me 2 weeks late for Bel’s weekly drawing and get a little behind schedule with a couple of commissions. But I’m working on getting everything back on track, almost finished my pending jobs, current commissioners will be hearing from me very soon. Thanks for the patience!
The same reason is why I’m just holding the commission slots closed, would be irresponsible of me to accept new jobs in my current situation. Commission slots will be re-opened shortly, though! Stay tuned! (special promotion coming up too)
PS: Still haven’t changed the red banner up there to a custom one…. -.-”
A start with plans for 2009
January 1st, 2009So, the bad year of 2008 is over and 2009 starts with new plans. No new year resolutions or anything, ‘cos those are made to be broken… these are more like projects, wishes and personal challenges:
-Finish the comic I’m currently doing
-Start and finish Bel’s comic (4 chapter long mini series)
-Work on some collabs/ trades/ projects
-Work on more commissions xD
-Start a weekly drawing project. Inspired by conceptart.org’s daily self-portraits, I’m going to do some weekly (one pic per week minimum, more if possible) drawings of my own. They won’t be coloured, more like pencil sketches with simple shading. Will probably consist of humorous self portraits, and also (oooh, you guys will like this one!) weekly Bel pics! (porn and not). It’s a motive to keep practicing, and promote my character– you’ll gonna learn to love her this year, wether you like it or not!

Merry X-Mas and stuff…
December 23rd, 2008Unfortunately, I didn’t get the christmas present pic ready in time for you guys (not very holiday themed, but it’s Bel nevertheless!), nor the site gallery system update (gonna be a bit more user friendly). I’m going on my epic fail of a vacation tomorrow, and will only be able to work on commissioned pics. So, merry x-mas and a great new year to you guys! Best wishes for 2009, and see you there! (back in January the 2nd)
PS: Damn, got so close to finishing that pic… =(
Oh the Irony
November 27th, 2008So today I was working on my newest pic, it’s an interracial one (gotta put out more before the theme fans get cold!) involving Atsue and 2 other guys. Nothing special, until I had to call a place to get some addresses and stuff, when suddenly the waiting music on the phone (you know, the one when they hang you on the line) turns to that “Ebony and Ivory” song…
I still try to convince myself that wierd shit doesn’t happen, but sometimes it’s hard.
Peace of mind
November 21st, 2008Funny thing I decided to enter my DeviantArt account these days, and found over 500 works to look at, not including journals and stuff like that. So I started browsing about the pictures and noticed the amount of stuff my personal friends and other artists I like had posted for quite some time, really old stuff that was worth some comments but I hadn’t done so. So, just when I was thinking of where to start, I remembered the tough and busy times I’m going through, and how my friends, good as they are, would understand, allowing me to cross comment on friend’s works off the list. Then I noticed I could sneak out of commenting stuff belonging to people whom I didn’t even know, so I could remove all my work from the queue!
I love the peace of mind a bit of negligence mixed with twisted logics gives me =D
The tough and busy times I mentioned was the fact that my tests for admission into college are coming up (first one this Sunday) and I hope that this is the last time (seeing that I fucked up the drawing test last year, a funny story for another day). You know, I’m a smart guy, so I guess 4 tries is enough– time to pass now.
On a side note, I took notice quite a lot of people liked my old manga style drawings. I’ll try to do some in the near future then…..
